Documents submitted for the registration of new companies

The Department of Registrar of Companies and Official Receiver announces that as from 2 January 2014 documents which are submitted for the registration of New Companies, Partnerships/Business Names and European Companies, as well as documents which are submitted for any form of change to the particulars of a registered company or other organisation and which after examination by the Officers of the Department are found to contain errors or omissions, will be sent back to the applicants or will be placed in the applicants’ files at the Department’s registry together with a letter containing all remarks of the officer responsible.

No telephone notification will be given to the applicants or their representatives.

As from the same date no correction or/and completion of documents by the applicants or by their representatives will be effected at the offices of the Registrar. Any corrected or/and completed documents must be refiled either at the cashiers’ office of the Department or electronically as the case may be.

The Department would like to remind the public that the vast majority of company documents can be filed electronically. Documents electronically filed are processed sooner than any other applications.
