The Department of the Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property hereby announces that according to the Companies (Amendment) Law L.87(I)/2022 of 24 June 2022, the maximum total amount of financial charge for late filing of Annual Returns, compiled within 2021 and 2022, will not exceed the amount of €150 for each late filing. This provision will be in force until 31/12/24.

Any amount exceeding €150, which was paid from 01/06/2021 until 23/06/2022, as a financial charge for Annual Returns with a date of compilation within the years 2021 and/or 2022, will be refunded.

The refund procedure of any amounts already paid that exceed €150 will be as follows:

1. For online payments made through JCC, the excess amount will be refunded directly to the card used for the said payment without any further action by the applicant.
2. For payments made to the Cashiers of the Department, the excess amount will be refunded to the applicant’s Bank Account upon presentation (at the 3^rd floor, Flat 301) of the proof of the said payment together with the authorization form for payments from FIMAS, accompanied by a photocopy of the Statement of the Bank Account that will be credited, as described in the Authorization Form.
