The above graph depicts the total number of applications relating to annual return filings with the Registrar of Companies, during the period from 1stJanuary to 31stDecember, of each year, from 2006 to 2018.

During the reference period, the number of annual returns filed with the Registrar of Companies ranges from approximately 35.000 (during 2006) to 176.000 (during 2014), with the average number of yearly submissions reaching approximately 79.000.

Finally, it is noted that the surge in the submissions of annual returns is mainly due to the actions taken by the Registrar to improve companies’ compliance with regards to their obligation to notify the said documents to the Registrar of Companies.
