Initial and relevant obligations
Authorised person
An overseas company, must additionally to the appointment of directors and secretary, notify the appointment of an authorised person who:
- resides in the Republic of Cyprus and is authorised to accept on behalf of the company the service of legal documents and notices required to be served on the company.
- represents the company and the place of business in transactions with third parties and before courts and authorities.
The information regarding the overseas company first authorised person are notified to the Registrar of Companies by completing and submitting form AE3 simultaneously with the submission of the application for establishment of the overseas company’s place of business. Following the registration of the overseas company, any changes which relate to authorised persons are notified with the form AE6. For further information, visit the page Updating authorised person.
