Updating Partnership’s Particulars

Updating partner's particulars

Following its registration, a partnership may proceed with changes to its partners, such as appointment of new partners, resignations or changes with regards to partners such as the change of name, change of address as well as change to the general partners that manage, administer and sign on behalf of the partnership, etc.

The partnership must notify the Registrar of Companies of any changes regarding its partners or their personal details, by submitting the form for changes to the partnerships’ particulars (form Σ2) within seven (7) days from the date of the change.

As at 18/12/2020, failure to timely notify (within 7 days) the Registrar of Companies regarding the change of partners or their details, is subject to a late filing fee not exceeding the amount of fifty euro (€50) upon the first day of non-compliance and a further charge of one euro (€1) for every day the failure to comply continues, up to the maximum amount of two hundred and fifty euro (€250).

Registering change

You can submit the notification of change of particulars of the partnership (form Σ2), by hand/post, accompanied by:

  • the fee of forty euro (€40) for each change and an additional fee of twenty euro (€20), in case you wish to accelerate the procedure.

The fees are payable in cash, by cheque, via an account maintained with the Department of the Registrar of Companies or by bank transfer.

You are advised to refer to the main criteria of review and most common reasons for rejection, so as to acquire a better understanding of what is required and to facilitate the process further. 

Provided that the Registrar of Companies is satisfied that all, relevant to the circumstances, legal requirements have been met he will proceed with registering the change, and issuing the certificate of changes.

In the event that the partnership requires proof of the change made in the partnership's register, it may request to obtain obtain partnership’s certified copies.
