Updating seat’s address

Every European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG) must maintain its seat in the Republic of Cyprus, where all notifications and notices can be sent. After its registration, an EEIG can change its seat address to any other address in the Republic of Cyprus.

When intending to change the address of its seat, the EEIG must notify the Registrar of Companies by filing the form Notification of documents and details of EEIG (form ΕΟΟΣ 4) within fifteen (15) or thirty (30) days from the date of its change, in case of an EEIG with seat in or outside the Republic of Cyprus, respectively.

Registering change

You can submit the notification of documents and details of EEIG (form ΕΟΟΣ 4), by hand/post, accompanied by:

• the amended contract of formation, which states the new address;
• the relevant amendment resolution;
• certified translation of the above documents, either by an affidavit or by sworn translator of the Republic of Cyprus, in case where they are in a language other than Greek.

It is noted that, no fee is required for filing the abovementioned form for registering change in the address of EEIG's seat.  

Provided the Registrar of Companies is satisfied that all legal requirements, depending on the case, have been met, he proceeds with the filing of the change of address of EEIG’s seat, the updating of the register and notifies the Publications Office of the European Union accordingly.

In the event that the EEIG requires proof of the change made in the register, it may request to obtain certified copies of the change.
